Sanctuary är en bostadsinredning för ett duplexhem i Tainan, Taiwan, med en yta på 819,83 kvadratmeter. Planlösningen placerar en enskild enhet på varje våning och öppnar upp planen mot den omgivande havsutsikten. Stora fönster släpper in naturligt ljus och underlättar ventilation. En spiraltrappa med guldfärgat, genombrutet räcke förbinder de två våningsplanen och utgör det centrala inslaget. Naturliga material, mjuka färger och enkla linjer definierar varje område utan tung dekoration. Designen mildrar även den visuella effekten av duplexens vertikala balkstruktur.

With a single unit per floor, the design shapes an ideal duplex lifestyle, enhancing the spaciousness and comfort of the area while bringing the natural seascape indoors to elevate the allure of the space. Produktionsteknik: The design rejects overly intricate decorations in favor of sleek, streamlined lines that clearly define each area while maintaining a bright and fresh atmosphere. The use of a single, understated color palette seamlessly blends functionality with aesthetics. The entrance immediately draws the eye to the spiral staircase, precisely crafted in terms of position, size, and form. The staircase is complemented by a gold hollow railing that adds a touch of refined elegance. Coupled with the sophisticated lines of imported furniture and ambient lighting, the space transforms into a pure and comfortable daily retreat.
Designutmaning: Addressed the vertical beam structure of the duplex, using thoughtful design strategies to soften any visual imbalances. The spiral staircase was carefully designed to serve both as a functional element and as a visual highlight, ensuring that it enhances the overall aesthetic of the space. This approach not only solved the structural challenges but also elevated the interior design to new levels of sophistication.
Forskning: This project involved a raw, unfinished duplex space. The design challenge required a focus on optimizing spatial dimensions, ensuring smooth vertical and horizontal flow within the layout while leveraging the height and structure of the duplex. The aim was to link the interior with the outdoor ocean view, bringing the view inside, enhancing the spaciousness, and creating a minimalist yet elegantly sophisticated modern home of their dreams.
Inspiration: The homeowners desire a minimalist, bright, and comfortable living environment that seamlessly integrates indoor and outdoor spaces. They seek to connect their home with the surrounding landscape while maximizing natural light to create a spacious view. The goal is to seamlessly blend functional living areas with an elegant, modern touch, capturing the pure essence of everyday life.
