Tungkol sa Flora Paglalarawan

Ang Flora ay isang paglalarawan ng pantasya upang maitaguyod ang pagkamalikhain ng artista at pagkukuwento, na naglalarawan ng pamumulaklak ng gastrointestinal microbiota na nabu ng pamamagitan ng churning gastric environment. Ang pamumulaklak ay inilalarawan ng mga talulot ng Bacteroidetes, Bifidobacteriam, at Enterococcus, mga pistola ng Lactobacillus at stamens ng Enterococcus faecalis na nakasalansan sa mga tangkay ng Escherichia coli. Ang bulaklak mismo ay lumitaw sa mga tangkay ng Clostridium. Ang Bacillus Cereus, ang mahabang bakteryang hugis na bakterya sa kanilang arthomitus yugto ay ikinakabit ng mga hibla sa bituka ng bituka, lumalaki nang filamentously, at sporulate.

Mga Natatanging Katangian: Creating a visual pun on the idea that gastric flora might be blossoming flowers in the digestive tract, the artist set out to create a flower composed of the bacteria found in the gut.

Teknolohiya sa Produksyon: Created using Cinema 4D, a 3D modeling program, and Photoshop on a Mac.
Hamon sa Disenyo: Creating a flower that both looked like a flower, but was also easily recognized as being constructed of recognizable bacteria required a creative balance between the two.
Pananaliksik: The artist researched the common bacteria, called flora, of the gut. The artist studied electron micrographs depicting these different bacteria, and created 3D models of the different bacteria. The artist arranged the 3D-modeled bacteria to construct a flower, using different bacteria for different parts of the flower. The churning gastric juices and primordial environment of the gut comprises the environment from which the flower grows. The flower springs forth from the microvilli found in the lining of the small intestine.
Inspirasyon: The artist is a certified medical illustrator working in the advertising and marketing of the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. Self promotional work created for clients, and prospective clients, is a chance to promote the artist's creativity, artistry and storytelling skills in visual science.
Tagal ng Proyekto: The project was in development for three weeks at the artist's studio in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, USA.
Daloy ng Operasyon: The illustration is meant to be enjoyable and memorable by playing on the pun of gastric flora.
