ڈیزائن چیلنج: Choosing the right materials for the Eclosion was a big challenge. The product is meant to help protect butterflies in the face of climate change and habitat loss, so I needed materials that were good for the environment. I chose materials that could be recycled or would break down easily without harming the environment. To make the planter work for butterflies, plants, and children, I did lots of research and found a solution that uses wires to make a partly open space. This design lets all the different things in the planter live together peacefully.
تحقیق: The research for the project involved an extensive investigation into the decline of the monarch butterfly population, which led to a field trip to the monarch butterfly reserve area in Mexico to deepen understanding of the milkweed host plant and butterfly ecology. Additionally, interviews were conducted with people with experience raising butterflies to gather feedback on existing habitat products and analyze user experience. The culmination of this research and analysis has resulted in the development of a customizable features, bio-inspired shapes, and sustainable materials choice.
