- To achieve a gender-neutral toilet design, we investigated color choices for the space, circulation, signage, and lighting. These elements influence the mentality of users and contribute significantly to providing a welcoming atmosphere. The green wall at the mirror utilizes the gray water generated from the sink to innovate water usage and even more sustainable applications.
- Ìwádìí
- The main objective of this project is to achieve gender equality with a design solution. Gender equality, one of UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), is often discussed in social issues. New Taipei City, the largest population city in Taiwan, has spent a significant amount of effort addressing SDGs in the city development. Therefore, this gender-neutral public toilet project is the milestone of New Taipei City's achievement.
- Ìmísí
- The color, planning and lighting are inspired by concept of gender neutral. Toilet as one of the most sensitive space and function for gender equality, the design serves as the key element to go beyond of traditional gender barrier.
