关于 Self Defense Mechanism 男装系列

《自我防御机制》是一个以为穿着者构筑保护层为设计理念的男装系列。该系列回应了信息过载的时代——人们每天接收到的信息量远超个体所能消化的极限。印花图案取材于神经元与网格几何结构,呈现出扩散与模糊的视觉效果,使外部世界变得难以看清,从而让内心得以保持平静。棉与尼龙网纱经缝合形成全新肌理,与印花图案相互呼应。服装遵循标准男装尺码体系,可作为日常服饰穿着。

独特属性: This collection perfectly embody the concept in our daily life. It easily can tell the whole concept from the appearance of the garment. These clothes are aimed to consider as a protective layer for ourselves to stabilize in this world. Avoiding us suffering from this world full of information. Thus, we can clean ourself clear and stay calm.
尺寸与包装: measurement is same as normal garment for men

生产技术: Using neuron and mesh geometry on prints symbolizes the spread and blur which makes us can't see what the outside world looks like and maintain our mind clear. By sewing cotton and nylon mesh together to create a new texture which is similar to the pattern I design for this collection.
设计挑战: The hardest part is to create the texture by sewing cotton and nylon mesh together. It's hard to copy the shape of neurons.
研究: It's the idea come up in my mind, the concept start from the imagination of me hiding in my own womb and observing this world. The real one hiding inside and the fake one control me to live my life. And It is exactly how the Augment Reality works. So in my initially research, it fulls of the image of AR(hiding in womb), neurons (feeling), electricity (neurotransmission).
灵感: In the era of information explosions, humans are stimulated by various environments. The messages that make us receive in one day actually are far more than one person could undertake. Consequently, these clothes are aimed to consider as a protective layer for ourselves to stabilize in this world. 项目周期: The project started in September 2021 in Taipei and finished in March 2022 also in Taipei, made as my graduate project which also the last project before I graduate.
操作流程: People can wear this collection as normal clothing, but also wear it to anywhere depend on their feeling. As long as you feel great to this collection then that's the reason.
