Mayelana ne-Nestwood Umsebenzi Oyinhloko Wokuqamba Igebhu Langaphakathi

Nestwood iyigebhu kanye nendawo yehhovisi eyakhelwe njengendawo yokwabelana yezimboni zobuchule. Ingaphakathi limboze isilinganiso samamitha ayisikwele angu-600 phezu kwezindiza ezimbili. Izindlela zokuklama ezizenzekelayo (generative design) zabumba isimo semvelo sendawo. Ukusetshenziswa kobuchwepheshe bokwakhiwa kwedijithali ngamarobhothi (robotic digital fabrication) kusetshenzisiwe ukwakha isakhiwo esiyinkimbinkimbi ngensimbi engagayeki yasolwandle (marine grade stainless steel), ijipsi eqinisiwe ngefibha yengilazi, itshe lemabula kanye nomcaka onezimbobo. Indawo yokwamukela ezakhiwe ngesimo semvelo iphawula lapho kungenwa, futhi isekelwa ngedamu elincane lezinto eziphilayo (bio-pond). I-atrium ephakathi enezindonga ezigqugquzelwe yimvelo kanye nesitezi sisebenza njengesizinda sokushintshisana kwemibono.

Izici Ezihlukile: The Nestwood Gallery is an oasis shared by multiple creative industries.
The design process uses experimental generative design to create an organic space. Each spatial detail is further fabricated with robots using the latest digital fabrication technology to replicate the complex geometry from the computer.
An organically shaped reception marks the entrance and greets the visitors, backed by a mini bio-pond: a mini-ecosystem is balanced by the atrium light, nitrogen, recycled water and minor species. The visitor is then welcomed by naturally inspired atrium walls, where a stair case leads the visitor to the upper level.

Inselele Yokudweba: The creative challenge is to realize designers full vision outside the industry's comfort zone. Manifold Lab experimented multiple digital fabrication method to create the full architectural scale space.

Ugqozi: Mathematical forms inspire the organic office space that exists in nature - the design seeks balance between beauty and ration. Program wise, the oasis is aimed to be a creative exchange space for designers and creative industries.
Multiple experimental fabrication methods were explored before finalizing the design to realize the designers' vision.
Ubude Bephrojekthi: Project started in 2020 and finished in September 2022 in Toronto.
Ukuhamba Kokusebenza: The central atrium act as a hub for design teams to exchange ideas.
