關於 Line Rings 戒指

Line Rings係一套由九隻戒指組成嘅系列，旨在突顯佩戴者同首飾之間嘅互動。每隻戒指入面有一粒可以郁動嘅小球，沿住軌道滑行，透過聲音、震動同旋轉俾到反饋。呢個系列嘅靈感源自迷宮同幾何建築。多段式結構為小球創造出各種唔同嘅路徑。呢啲戒指以三維打印同失蠟鑄造技術製成，用黃銅鍍銀打造。每隻戒指尺寸大約為4 x 4 x 4厘米。

獨特屬性: This project is a collection of nine rings that are designed to highlight the interaction between wearer and jewelry. The moveable sphere inside the ring provides feedback to the wearer through sounds, vibration, and rotation.

設計挑戰: Precious measuring. After experimenting with different 3D printed materials, I limit the thickness of the wire to 1.2mm, with a 6mm gap in between the rail to ensure the sphere flow constantly in the ring. It is hard to calculate the measurement in a 3D form.
靈感: The Line Collection was inspired by the labyrinth and geometric architectures. The moveable sphere inside slides in various directions along the track, while diverse multi-segment structures bring greater possibilities to the trajectory of the ball. I utilized 3D CAD techniques to bring precision and higher complexity in creating perfect line construction in small scale rings.
項目時長: The project started in September 2019 in Savannah, GA, and finished in March 2020.
