關於 Ripples 主要功能：材料展示廳

Book Text：Ripples係一間位於台灣台中市嘅材料展示廳，佔地60.5平方米。一個舊有嘅辦公空間被改造成開放式展示廳，同時亦可用作客戶會議嘅共享工作空間。天花板上兩個凸起嘅形狀成為設計嘅起點。8毫米厚嘅系統化木飾面被薄切同屈曲，塑造出跨越天花板同牆身嘅曲線同摺線。合共展示200件產品，令參觀者可以親眼睇到同親手觸摸真實質感。呢啲模組化材料可以複製並喺其他城市重新組裝。

生產技術: Overcoming the vertical and horizontal quality of systematic wood decor, we use processing, cutting, and bending in order to fulfill the design of curves and fold lines and apply it to the wall and the ceiling in the space.
設計挑戰: Systematic design can be duplicated and reproduced in large numbers and in different places. All the building materials of this shared workspace can be copied and assembled in other cities to achieve modulization.
研究: We redesign the office space into an open materials showroom where it can be used when a customer meeting is required and to create a shared workspace experience. By exploring characteristics of materials through senses, discovering wonders in creativity, and realizing the possibilities in the process of design in full, we expect to fulfill the meticulous and intuitive practicality of everyday life and see people as the essence of the space.
靈感: Using two convex shapes on the ceiling as the starting point, the 8mm systematic wood decor is thinly cut and bent to achieve curves and fold line design and then extends to the walls, which cleverly explores the possibility of system wooden decor, redefine and break away from the norm. The spirit of craftsmanship and the design ideas are realized in the space where a full and abundant texture is shown freely in a unique way.
項目時長: The project started in December 2020 and finished in March 2021 in Taichung City, Taiwan.
操作流程: Calculating the ratio of wood decor and plan the traffic of the space with the display of the owner’s 200 products in the showroom, we let users directly experience and feel the real proportion of the products, veins, textures, and effect in order to fulfill the end result of feeling the materials in the first hand.
