About Mini Bike Electric Bicycle

Mini Bike is a folding electric bicycle designed for short trips in dense urban areas. The frame combines aluminium, carbon and steel to keep the total weight at 11.5 kilograms. Twenty inch wheels support the small and compact concept, and the bicycle folds quickly for carrying and storage. The battery is hidden inside the frame. The geometry follows that of a full size bicycle, so the riding behaviour remains smooth and stable. The design was developed from insights collected from 500 people living in urban areas.

Design Challenge
The most critical challenge was to get the weight down to a record breaking level. The electric bicycle has a race bike dna and must therefor be light. But having the added weight of a battery and a motor was the most difficult challenge. The way we have solved the challenges is by using untraditional materials for an electric bike such as carbon and kevlar instead of metal and alloy
Research
We have done research in aerodynamics, weight ratio to stiffness of the frames. This is a totally new method in the electric bicycles industry where those parameters mentioned has not been explored before now with our new Maserati bicycle product.Protanium/Asia Kingston has the licence rights to use the Maserati brand for electric bicycles.
Inspiration
We are inspired by insights. The insights are created by an userpanel consisting of 500 people asked in urban areas where the questions has been: What would you consider to be the best transportation in dense urban areas? Out the the answers we have come up with this vehicle.
