የሕንፃዎች ዲዛይን ጽንሰ-ሀሳብ ልዩ ግን ደረጃውን የጠበቀ የሥራ አካባቢን ለማቅረብ ነበር ፡፡ አብሮ በተሰራው የህንፃ ማቀነባበሪያ መጠን ወደ ልዩ የባquette መቀመጫ እና አካል ፣ የጋራ አግዳሚ ወንበሮች እና ጠፍጣፋ የቤት እቃዎች በመገደብ ቦታው ለአሁኑ ነዋሪዎቹ ብቻ የተነደፈ ብቻ ሳይሆን የወደፊቱን የማስፋፋት አንድምታዎችም ይመለከታል ፡፡

RMIT Bldg 88 የተስተካከለ የሸክላ ማቀነባበሪያ የA' Design Award የብረት ሽልማት አሸናፊ ነው፤ ይህም በጥሩ ሁኔታ ከተነደፉ ፈጠራዎች የሚጠበቁትን ሙያዊና ኢንዱስትሪያዊ መስፈርቶች ለሚያሟሉ ጥሩ ዲዛይኖች የሚሰጥ ከፍተኛ ክብር ያለው እውቅና ነው። የብረት አሸናፊዎች የፈጣሪዎቻቸውን ታላቅ ችሎታ፣ ከፍተኛ ልዩ ሙያ፣ የባለሙያ ግንዛቤ እና የፈጠራ አቅም ያሳያሉ። RMIT Bldg 88 የተስተካከለ የሸክላ ማቀነባበሪያ ከፍ ያለ ግምት የሚሰጠው፣ የሚደነቅና የሚወደድ፣ ተግባራዊና ፈጠራ የተሞላበት ሥራ እንደሚሆን ይጠበቃል። ይህ የA' Design Award የብረት ሽልማትን ያሸነፈ ዲዛይን የኢንዱስትሪ ምርጥ ልምዶችን ያዋህዳል፤ ከእውቀትና ከተሰጥኦ ጋር የተሳሰሩ ብቁ ቴክኒካዊ ባህሪያትም አሉት። RMIT Bldg 88 የተስተካከለ የሸክላ ማቀነባበሪያ በጥልቅነቱ የተከበረ ሲሆን ዓለምን የተሻለ ቦታ ለማድረግ የሚረዱ የሕይወት ጥራት ማሻሻያዎችን ለማቅረብ የተነደፈ ነው።

- Utilising a floorplan of 1650m2, the fitout consited of:
*Collaborative and flexible working spaces
*Meeting Rooms and Executive meeting spaces
*Feature curved and angular banquette seating
*Feature joinery to communal areas
*Large timber ceiling panels - ልኬቶች እና ማሸጊያ
- The curved panel walls were individually manufactured on a CNC machine to achieve the desired shape. In order to breakup parts of the open spaces the curved walls tapered from 1.0mt up to 2.0mts in height.

- A combination of both curved and angular design for the seating helped to breakup the main areas as well as maximising the natural light from the fully glazed facades to the Buildings sides.

- The greatest challenge was to correctly achieve the internal and external angled seating structure, ensuring it was fit for the purpose without compromising on strength, stability and the required shape.

- In order to meet the design brief for the Banquette Seating and Joinery items CUS looked at the other components that made up the project such as the angled coloured floor tiles, timber ceiling struts and the overall finishes. In this way the built-in seating and joinery blends in with this items to become a part of the workspace without actually standing out.

- To incorporate the Client's requirements for both open and private office spaces, shared conference and meeting rooms with the flexability to expand at a later date.

- The project was a fast tracked programme working two shifts over a 7 week periord.

- The design concept draws on a continuous open area that wraps around the building core. By breaking up certain areas with the curved and elongated Banquettes the occupants could achieve both an open plan workspace with the added privacy if required.
