درباره Dream چراغ رومیزی
دریم یک چراغ رومیزی است که برای ارائه نور محیطی ملایم طراحی شده است. پایه آن به شکل یک بالش است و از بتن ساخته شده، در حالی که پخش‌کننده نور یک کره شیشه‌ای دمیده شده است که به صورت دستی در ونیز ساخته می‌شود. بتن اغلب سخت، سرد و سنگین به نظر می‌رسد، بنابراین فرم این چراغ به گونه‌ای طراحی شده که نرم، سبک و گرم به نظر برسد. یک روش قالب‌گیری نوآورانه همراه با بتنی با دانه‌بندی بسیار ریز، سطحی یکنواخت و بدون حباب‌های قابل مشاهده به این محصول می‌بخشد. این چراغ ابعادی برابر با ۲۴ در ۲۴ در ۱۴ سانتی‌متر دارد و از یک لامپ G9 قابل تنظیم استفاده می‌کند، به طوری که می‌توان شدت نور گرم آن را تنظیم کرد.

- Through an innovative molding method and a particular type of very fine-grained concrete, we were able to obtain a unique shape that breaks the shemes and the usual stiffness of concrete.

- We were looking for a clever way of using concrete as main material for a table lamp. Our aim was to disconnect from the cold and solid sensation received from concrete.

- Starting from a deep research on small table lamps, we focused then on understanding which could be the right kind of light source.
Because the aim of this product is not to be a reading lamp, but to be an ambient lamp, the diffused light is the right choice.
What consumers are looking for in this category, is something that can warm up the environment. So concrete had to disconnect from the cold feeling that usually creates, and light had to be warm and dimmerable. - الهام
- Concrete as a material is always associated in the collective imagination with something hard, cold and heavy. In MrSmith Studio we believe that the role of the designer should be also to break the schemes and subvert the collective imagination, suggesting new interpretations.
This is why we modeled concrete to give it a soft, enveloping, light and warm shape. - مدت زمان پروژه

- The project of Dream started with a deep research on concrete moulding techniques.
We've made several trials for defining the best material both for the mould, the concrete and the procedure.
