グランド・オーバーチュアは、中国・上海に位置する約1000平方メートルのホスピタリティホールである。アーチ状の構造が、複数のレベルにわたって光と影の流れを導く。オフホワイトの石材、アースカラーの木材、メタリックなアクセントが、テクスチャーと温もりの層を織りなす。アールデコ様式の石象嵌パターンとヘリンボーン張りの石床は、この地域の歴史的な商館を想起させる。曲線を描く階段が来訪者を上階へと導き、エレベーターホールにはヴィンテージの階数表示器が据えられている。古典的なアーチとバロックの曲線は、現代的な幾何学的アプローチによって再解釈されている。
