Senja ni icyumba cy'umuryango cyubatswe hafi y'umudugudu muto w'uburobyi mu majyaruguru ya Noruveje. Igishushanyo gishingiye ku muco wa Sami wa Heller, aho ahantu ho kuhungira habazwaga munsi y'amabuye manini. Ubwubatswe bw'inyubako bufite imiterere y'ibuye, hamwe n'imirongo ikurikira imisozi iri hafi, kandi bufite idirishya rinini rireba ku butayu bwose bureba ahantu hazengurutse. Senja Icyumba cy'Ubwiherero biteganyijwe ko izaba ikintu cyubahwa, gishimwa kandi gikundwa, gifite ubunyamwuga n'udushya. Iki gishushanyo cyegukanye Buronze gikoresha uburyo bwiza mu buhanzi, ubumenyi, ubushushanyo n'ikoranabuhanga kandi kirarenze mu gutaha ku tuntu duto. Ibintu Bidasanzwe: The cabin is located near a small fishing village called Hamn. On this site the client wanted a family cottage with panoramic views to Senja's stunning mountains and nature.
In such a beautiful and delicate landscape, it is important to build with nature and create a project that feels like a part of landscape.

Ikoranabuhanga ryo Guteza Imbere: The cabin has a wooden facade painted in dark grey to naturally blend in with the surrounding nature. The windows are made of wood/aluminium with details in steel to protect from the harsh winterstorms. The main entrance in carved into the building mass and creates a sheltered space to relax.

Inside the cabin the walls are covered with pine boards, oak floors and a 45x45 wooden slated ceiling. This creates a warm and cozy atmosphere to relax by the fireplace.

Ikibazo cy'Ishusho: Adopting to a delicate landscape
Ubushakashatsi: By studying old Sami building traditions, we found the ancient tradition of “Heller” where Sami*s would find shelter and build a cottage under large rocks. By shaping the building envelope like a stone with natural lines similar to the mountains, one could make a large panorama window in this shape. The project then becomes a "rock with a view" that settles naturally in the terrain - hidden by the forest from neighbours and the main road. Still on the inside of the cabin you feel like being part of nature.
Ibyatumye Habaho: By studying old Sami building traditions, we found the ancient tradition of Heller where Sami`s would find shelter and build a cottage under large rocks. By shaping the building envelope like a stone with natural lines similar to the mountains, one could make a large panorama window in this shape. The project then becomes a rock with a view that settles naturally in the terrain

Uburyo bw'Imikorere: The cabin is designed specifically to open ut to nature with panoramic views to the surrounding mountains. As the the weather can change drastically in hours it is important to have the option of both a sheltered outdoor space - and a climatized indoor space where you feel part of nature. At the dinner table, one gathers the family with a view a panoramic view of the mountains - the lines between inside and outside have been blurred and the space changes in tune with the light and landscape.
