कुआन् इति समकालीन-निवासस्थानार्थं निर्मितं हस्तासनम् अस्ति। इयं रचना सरला अनाडम्बरा च वर्तते, यत्र धातु-द्रव्यं ऊर्णा-वस्त्रेण सह संयोजितम्। आसनस्य आयतनं, कङ्कालस्य रेखाः, ठोस-रिक्त-आकृतीनां च मध्ये विद्यमानः विरोधः प्राच्य-दर्शनस्य संयत-स्वभावं प्रतिबिम्बयति। आवरणं आयातित-ऊर्णा-वस्त्रेण निर्मितम्, यत् पारम्परिक-प्रक्रियया स्थिरीकृतं भवति, येन सुकोमला पृष्ठभूमिः जायते, या क्षय-रोम-निर्माणयोः विरुद्धं सम्यक् प्रतिरोधं ददाति। भिन्न-घनत्वयुक्तानां स्पञ्ज-स्तराणां संयोजनेन सुखद-आसनं निर्मीयते। कुआन् इति विभिन्नैः आवरण-द्रव्यैः सह उपलभ्यते।
