Tekonolosi Gaosiga
This design was created using a combination of AI-driven pattern generation and digital twin technology, allowing for the creation of customized Miao costume designs. 3D modeling software and 3D printing were utilized for precise and efficient production, minimizing material waste. AIGC technology was incorporated in the fashion photography process, enabling virtual-real scene integration. These advanced techniques allowed for a seamless fusion of tradition and innovation, enhancing both the design process and final product quality.
Lu'itau o le Mamanu
The hardest part of this design activity was balancing the preservation of traditional Miao culture with the use of modern technologies. The creative challenge lay in maintaining the authenticity and cultural significance of the costumes while incorporating AI and 3D printing. External factors such as limited access to traditional craftsmanship knowledge and the technical complexity of integrating digital tools were obstacles. Social perspectives on technology's impact on cultural heritage also required careful consideration to ensure respectful innovation.
Su'esu'ega
This research examines the integration of traditional Miao costume design with modern digital technologies, specifically AI, digital twin technology, and 3D printing, aiming to create sustainable and customizable ethnic fashion. The research objectives include preserving cultural heritage while promoting eco-friendly production methods. A mixed-methods approach was employed: qualitative methods involved interviews with cultural experts and ethnographic studies, while quantitative methods utilized 3D modeling and 3D printing experiments to analyze production efficiency and material usage. Data was collected through workshops with local artisans and design students. The results demonstrated that digital technologies, such as AI-driven pattern generation and 3D printing, can effectively reduce waste, increase design customization, and enhance the creative expression of traditional cultural motifs. Insights reveal that these technologies bridge the gap between cultural preservation and innovation, enabling more sustainable, personalized fashion. The research has practical implications for the fashion industry, as it suggests a new model for integrating sustainability with ethnic culture preservation, offering a scalable solution for both business and social impact.
Fa'aosofia
The inspiration for this project comes from my deep interest in preserving and innovating ethnic cultural heritage through technology. As a designer focused on sustainable fashion, I sought to merge traditional Miao attire with modern digital tools, such as AI and 3D printing, to create a more sustainable, customizable, and efficient fashion design process. My research into cultural preservation and sustainable production motivated me to explore how technology can help revive and innovate tradit
Umi o le Poloketi
The project started in April 2024 and will be completed in December 2024, taking place in Hangzhou, China. The project focuses on integrating AI and 3D printing technologies into the design of sustainable ethnic fashion, with the final presentation scheduled for December 2024.
Fa'agasologa o Galuega
This design seamlessly blends traditional Miao attire with modern technology, allowing for customizable fashion that is both sustainable and efficient. The design process is streamlined through AI-generated patterns and 3D modeling, enabling quick adjustments to fit individual preferences. The integration of virtual-real scenes in fashion shoots enhances the user experience, offering an immersive, innovative way to showcase cultural heritage while reducing waste and improving production efficiency.
