Additionally, the upward design ashtray collector, offer better social smoking stations under Shanghai's restricted indoor banned smoking policy. Optimised conductors also simplified maintenance works.

Kgothaletso: How to use design to change the dirty images of sanitation facilities, turning the ordinary and the functional into a quality design or even a 'luxury' piece, by purifying the information and reducing the details to earn a respect from the users back to the sanitation workers and themselves. However design is not the single solution but to provide a better hardware to the systematic management, perhaps a smart one.

Tsamaiso ya Mosebetsi: The sanitation workers felt happier when maintaining the new bins, since less labor is required to keep all corners clean. One shop owner sent a drink gift to the designer at inspection, because the colours told her immediately where to drop the trashes, instead of reading carefully in different languages etc.
