Ibyerekeye Reconnect Igikorwa cy'Ubuhanzi bwa Digitale

Reconnect ni igikorwa cy'ubuhanzi bwa digitale kigaragaza uburyo abantu bavugana nyuma y'igihe bamaze babayeho bitandukanye. Iki gikorwa gihuza amashusho y'amahamagara yafashwe hamwe na mudasobwa ecran cumi n'ebyiri (LCD) zashyizwe mu gikoresho cy'aluminium gifite imirongo ya LED. Kamera ya mudasobwa igaragaza mu buryo bwa live mu maso h'uwasuye uhagaze imbere y'iki gikorwa ku ecran yo hagati, mu gihe izindi ecran zigaragaza abantu bavugana mu mahamagara yafashwe mbere. Mu ntangiriro buri ecran igaragaza ihamagara ryayo bwite, hanyuma buhoro buhoro ecran zose zikagenda zihurira mu ishusho imwe rusange. Iki gikorwa cyateguwe hifashishijwe porogaramu y'itangazamakuru rishingiye ku "nodes" (node based visual software), gitangizwa na mudasobwa imwe rukumbi ya laptop.

Reconnect Igikorwa cy'Ubuhanzi bwa Digitale ni uwegukanye Igihembo cya A' Design Award cy'icyuma, ishimwe ry'agaciro ritangwa ku bishushanyo byiza bihuza ibyo umwuga n'inganda bikeneye ku bihangano byashushanyijwe neza. Abegukanye icyuma bagaragaza ubuhanga bukomeye, ubumenyi bwihariye, imyumvire y'inzobere n'ubushobozi bwo guhanga bw'ababikoze. Reconnect Igikorwa cy'Ubuhanzi bwa Digitale biteganyijwe ko izaba igihangano cyubahwa, gishimwa kandi gikundwa, gifatika kandi gifite udushya. Iki gishushanyo cyegukanye icyuma gihuza uburyo bwiza bukoreshwa mu nganda kandi gifite ibiranga bya tekiniki bifite ubushobozi, bifatanye n'ubumenyi n'impano. Reconnect Igikorwa cy'Ubuhanzi bwa Digitale yubahwa kubera gukora neza, kandi yashushanyijwe kugira ngo inoze ubuzima, ifashe gutuma isi iba nziza.

Ibintu Bidasanzwe: People have lived remotely but it’s getting back to normal life and they start to “reconnect” in the real world. This installation is composed of “virtual” interviews and multiple displays extended into “real” space.
Post-pandemic life won't look the same for everybody but you can see bright faces and positive words in this installation.

Ikoranabuhanga ryo Guteza Imbere: This installation was programmed by TouchDesigner, which is a node based visual programming language for interactive contents.
And it is composed of LCD screens, LED stripes and almi-frames. Each screens are connected to video splitter with HDMI cables.
One laptop pc handle 12 video outputs and LED data and sound.
Ikibazo cy'Ishusho: The most challenging point was how to output 12 zoom videos to LCD displays from one laptop PC.
I used 2 video splitters and programmed these videos were in-sync. At the first part, zoom calls are ongoing on each LCD screen, but gradually each screen compose one multi-display.
Ubushakashatsi: Communications have changed since COVID happened. We are separated physically but on the other hand, we were able to talk virtually through zoom calls. I tried to materialize this way of communication into the real world. I asked my friends to record our zoom calls and they willingly accepted to be a part of my installation. You can hear positive words in this experience.
Ibyatumye Habaho: People are using zoom call and we can see each other on screen. I tried to extend this situation into real space with LCD screens.
Igihe cy'Umushinga: This installation had been exhibited for a joint exhibition, "Public Visuals Exhibition" in Tokyo in October 2021 for two weeks.
Uburyo bw'Imikorere: If you stand in front of this installation, your face is shown on center screen through webacam. And zoom calls are starting and people are shown on the other screen. Even if they are zoom calls but they are ongoing on actual screens, you will feel as if you talk to people in person.
