Zhiwen ni kipimo cha joto kinachovaliwa kilichoundwa kwa ajili ya watoto. Muundo huu unajumuisha kipande kidogo (patch) na kifaa kikuu chenye umbo la kidonge kinachoshikilia kipande hicho. Kipande hiki kina vipimo vya milimita 30 kwa 40 kwa 8 na huwekwa chini ya mkono kwa kutumia gundi laini ya matumizi ya mara moja. Kipimo cha joto huonekana ndani ya sekunde tano hadi kumi kwenye onyesho la kifaa kikuu au kwenye simu janja. Vitambuzi vilivyojengwa ndani vya unyevu na ubora wa hewa pia huwapa wazazi taarifa kuhusu vizio (allergens) na sumu. Kipande hiki kina uwezo wa kustahimili maji na ni rahisi kusafisha. Nyenzo za ABS, silikoni ya daraja la kitiba, na karatasi ya chuma zimetumika kwa ajili ya ganda la kifaa.

When a designer starts this project, the designer needs to work with a hardware engineer (make sure he can get the smallest components and also meet the performance requirement) and mechanical engineer(create a special layout for the sensor, charging contacts, battery, and PCB within a tiny space).

- We researched competitive market (common spec of the competitors, price range, technology feature and so forth), we also visited the local hospitals and families to find the pain points of current temperature measurement tools. A compact, reliable, intuitive and accurate thermometer is what users want. After testing the working prototypes, we dive into the industrial design to make the products way more easy to use and also meet popular aesthetics.

- The current temperature measurement tools include mercury thermometer, electronic thermometer, ear thermometer, and forehead thermometer are not user -friendly for the kids. They take a longer time for parents to set up and get accurate results by a couple minutes. Kids need a new convenient, sustainable, intuitive and accurate tool for better body temperature measurement. Also air quality and humidity are what parents concern about their kids.
