Kuhusu Madame Butterfly Msururu wa Mabango
Madame Butterfly ni msururu wa mabango ya opera. Kila bango linaonyesha picha maarufu ya mwanamke anayeimba kama mhusika mkuu wa hadithi ya opera na ishara ya shauku. Msururu huu unajumuisha opera kama vile Madame Butterfly, Tosca na Norma, na unaakisi nafasi ya kusikitisha na tegemezi ya wanawake katika matini zao za opera. Kila mpangilio unaonyesha onyesho la mwisho, kilele cha hadithi. Ubunifu huu unatumia maumbo ya kimaadili, uchoraji wenye hisia kali na mtindo wa Memphis, ukiwa na rangi zilizo wazi na tofauti kubwa. Mabango haya yamechapishwa kwa ukubwa wa A1 kwenye karatasi ya kartoni.

Washindi wa Dhahabu ni kazi bunifu mno, zenye maono makubwa na za kung'aa kwa umaridadi zinazoakisi kipaji, hekima na ustadi wa wabunifu wao. Madame Butterfly Msururu wa Mabango inatarajiwa kuwa uvumbuzi unaosifiwa sana, wa kuweka mielekeo na wa kihistoria unaoleta thamani isiyo na kifani. Muundo huu ulioshinda Tuzo ya Dhahabu ya A' Design Award ni mradi wa kustaajabisha na unaoheshimika unaonufaisha sana na kupanua mipaka ya sanaa, sayansi, usanifu na teknolojia. Madame Butterfly Msururu wa Mabango huzua hisia kali za hamu, huamsha shauku, huhimiza ubunifu na hutuvutia.

- The series of opera posters was designed with idea to put iconic portrait of singing/shouting woman as a symbol of passion and main figure in opera plot. It is also about to show the tragic and dependent role of a woman in libretto of such operas as Madame Butterfly, Tosca or Norma. In the form of iconic interpretation. On all posters the composition represents the final scene - culmination moment of the opera story.

- The posters are normally printed in A1 size, 594 x 841 mm. They are printed on high quality carton paper, 275g. The ideal production of the posters is using silk screen technique. Also these posters are produced for street poster displays with the size 1185 x 1750mm.

- The challenge in this project was to find an icon which can illustrate the tragic opera plot.

- Research was based on exploring the avant-guard style and also the latest trends in contemporary visual language. Also iconology and expressionism were the topics for research.

- Designer was inspired with the portraits of Malevich due to the minimalist iconic shapes and the painting of Munch "The Scream" due to the open emotional expression. Also the big sourse of inspiration was Memphis style - open colours, contrast, simple shapes.

They are designed for the city displays, as a part of the concert identity for the brochures and banners. But also for the website and digital promo campaign.
